To prepare for and execute a successful data migration, we recognize that data migration is more than simply transporting data from one system to another. Several questions must be answered early on in the project:
- What systems must data be migrated from?
- What is the volume of the data to be migrated?
- How many interfaces are involved?
- How much data cleansing is required?
